Off topic but I don't care because I'm chuffed to bits because here's my first grandchild.
Born in the early hours of Wednesday morning and named Robert Mason Murfitt.
Now where did I put that catalogue with the Scalextric and train set!!??

I had a breakthrough with EMI recently and will soon submit a few suggestions for further releases on my own Legacy Sounds UK label. Initially they were asking a fortune per track but after some negotiation they reduced the rate somewhat. It's not cheap, though.
Only approx 190 copies of Instro Beat remain so please give it another sales boost and mention it to your friends or take the plunge and buy it for yourself or as a birthday/Xmas present for someone. To borrow a famous supermarket slogan - every little helps!!
If I can sell all of the 1000 I had pressed then EMI will realise the potential and licensing should become easier in future.
I have many ideas for future releases including Instro Beat 2 (of course) and a series entitled Pioneers of Rock Instrumental which will focus on various artists and groups from the early days.
Bob Bogle of The Ventures is first up with a mix of old and new tracks plus some rarities and our usual high quality booklet.

Jet Harris is 70 years young this year and fans can join in the celebrations by attending a concert in Weston-Super-Mare (already booked my ticket) See here for more details.

INSTRO BEAT
received a fine review in the latest Record Collector magazine (page 105) and today (January 24th) the CD was plugged by Brian Matthews on 'Sounds Of The Sixties', Radio 2, both giving the disc a much needed boost in sales.

Malcolm Campbell's new Ventures book - Driving Guitars.
As an instro nut this book is essential reading for me, and will be for you.
Ever since it arrived I've been unable to put it down.
Malcolm looks in detail at every released track recorded by The Ventures in the 1960s.
Assisting Malcolm is renowned Ventures expert (and Pipeline co-editor) Dave Burke,
who reveals fascinating session trivia sourced directly from the EMI archives.
I can't stress enough the work that goes into these publications and it's one of those
books that you'll go back to time and time again.
Don't hang fire and debate it, get those orders to Malcolm and support his sterling efforts.
You will not be disappointed. Buy here
